The Russian Schools Abroad project implements a double certificate programme. This means that two national educational standards are synchronized here. The full implementation of the Russian Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) makes it possible, in particular, to prepare for the Unified State Exam, the successful passing of which leads to a Russian State certificate. In this way, it doubles the opportunities for the graduate and the applicant.
The teaching process is organized on the basis of the practices and pedagogical technologies of the Gorchakov Lyceum of MGIMO. The program is designed for a full and systematic acquisition of educational subjects in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard: FSES of general education system for grades 8 and 9, FSES of secondary general education for grades 10 and 11. Training sessions are aligned with the United State Exam (USE) preparation system. The teaching in the field-oriented groups is reinforced by extracurricular activities and additional education.
Teachers of MGIMO Gorchakov Lyceum as well as staff of partner schools with their active methodological support teach in RSA classes. All teachers involved in the implementation of RSA programmes operate within the general framework of the Gorchakov Lyceum methodology. Synchronisation and transfer of MGIMO's practices are ensured by a system of continuous professional development. The profile groups are staffed by current United State Exam (USE) experts. Educational events and subject intensives are conducted by winners of the Teacher of the Year of Russia competition.
The Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) is one of the world's leading universities, specialising in training highly qualified personnel in demand in national or global labour markets. Since 2016 MGIMO has been developing its own general education ecosystem. The uniqueness of MGIMO's school projects is thus made up of a deep academic and methodological base, underpinned by a living tradition of intercultural communication and cooperation. The flagship of this ecosystem - the Gorchakov Lyceum - holds leading positions in national school rankings. The experience and practices of Gorchakovsky Lyceum serve as a cultural reference and resource for the programmes offered by RSA.
Integrated educational model combines high academic load with developed educational system. The unity and continuity of the educational process is ensured by an event-based approach - each student is involved in a system of special courses, motivational and creative practices.
Linguistic training provides intensive instruction in several foreign languages, Russian as the state language of the Russian Federation, and also includes a system of teaching native languages and literatures. By developing skills in face-to-face communication, such linguistic training aims at building the skills and abilities necessary for successful passing of the United State Exam (USE).
Individualisation of the educational route means that each student has access to a system of learning tools with which he or she shapes his or her own track of entry: RSA programmes provide an opportunity to focus efforts on preparation for a set of core subjects of any complexity.
The unique educational environment is shaped by the direct communication and integration of students in Lyceum classes - wherever the actual educational activities take place. The developed and highly functional IBLS digital platform facilitates the integration of educational solutions.
