150 educators abroad trained under MGIMO's Advanced Training Programme as part of the Russian Schools Abroad project

On November 1, within the framework of the Russian Schools Abroad Strategic Project (RSA) of the Priority 2030 state programme launched a further professional education course on "Active Learning Strategies" at the Interfaculty department of educational systems and pedagogical technologies of the Odintsovo branch of MGIMO. Russian specialists shared their experience in modern lesson design with colleagues from Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Mongolia, Vietnam and Serbia.

150 teachers from Russian schools working in these countries raised their professional skills. During the face-to-face training sessions the participants were introduced to contemporary methods of lesson planning analysis and effective teaching strategies and specific features of diagnostics of educational results. The teachers also studied the peculiarities of the organization of educational activities in the blended learning format that is popular today.

Three groups of education specialists took part in the sessions, which were the largest ever in the whole period of the Russian Schools Abroad project. They were teachers and administrators of the Lomonosov School in Bishkek, which provides training on the basis of the MGIMO Lyceum model, teachers and administrators of the secondary school of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin, and also teachers of the humanitarian project of the Russian Ministry of Education "Russian Teacher Abroad", implemented by the Stasova International Centre for Education "Inter-Dom".

Lecturers of the "Active Learning Strategies" course are recognized Russian experts on competency-based approach in education: candidate of pedagogical sciences, scientific supervisor of Master's programme "Modern Pedagogy and Educational Design", scientific adviser of the "Russian Schools Abroad" project, Associate Professor Marina Aleksandrovna Pinskaya and teacher of Master's programme "Modern Pedagogy and Educational Design", methodologist of educational programmes of the "Contribution to the Future" Foundation Alexei V. Stehov.
