Bishkek opens MGIMO lyceum classes

31 august 2022
MGIMO lyceum classes will be opened in Bishkek at the Lomonosov School in September, where children from 15 years old will study. Fifty-nine children have gone through the admission process, with testing instruments provided by specialists at the MGIMO Gorchakov Lyceum.

The students will not only have a unique experience of combining educational programmes, cultural dialogue, and immersion in an environment of personal development, but also the opportunity to take the Russian-language final exams.

In order to adapt the curricula and programmes, the teachers and administrators of the MGIMO partner school completed the professional development programme "Teacher Professional Competence to Support Individual Educational Paths" to prepare for the opening of lyceum classes. But the teachers will continue their development - two professional development programmes are already done, and it’s just the beginning.

MGIMO has formed a team which aims at developing cooperation with countries which are interested in Russian-language education. Its specialists organise meetings with colleagues at which strategic planning takes place to create an ecosystem of Russian-language education in their region based on the latest educational technologies and resources provided by the team.
