First graduation in Tashkent

24 june 2022
In June 2022, 65 students fr om the partner programme of MGIMO's Gorchakov Lyceum with academic lyceums International House Tashkent and UMED received dual diplomas of education. The Uzbek students took their USEs at an examination centre opened at MGIMO's Tashkent branch. In 2022, the full cycle of the USE examination procedure was implemented here for the first time.

For students, this means better knowledge, a high degree of adaptability to external circumstances, and broader prospects for further education.

“Today we can confidently say that we have had a very successful experience of implementing the dual certification programme in Uzbekistan. In two years, we have been able to prepare 10th and 11th graders for the Russian certificate. The state final examination was organised in Tashkent. We were the only GIA testing facility in Asia located outside the Russian embassy,-  summed up MGIMO Vice Rector Roman Kotov. - We think that this experience should be extended to other countries wh ere there is a demand for educational programmes in Russian”.

The training programme is based on a personalised curriculum, which helps to unlock the potential of each student. This plan is based on the experience of the Gorchakov Lyceum of MGIMO, which gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the context of university education already at school.

Russian teachers conducted offline and online classes, webinars, Olympiads, quizzes, seminars and master classes.

Twenty-three Russian teachers were involved in the learning process. Their colleagues from the Academic Lyceum International House Tashkent received regular retraining and professional development to master the latest educational technologies, which are already in use at the MGIMO Lyceum. This made it possible to successfully adapt the work programmes and build a completely new course of study.
