Further professional education

Lifelong learning is the key to success in modern life. We are lifelong learners - school, university, postgraduate education. Through the development of new skills and competences, we acquire the tools that help us keep up with the times and meet the challenges of the new reality.

Further professional education is the training for teachers who have higher or specialist education or who are in the process of getting these types of education.

Professional development courses created by our authors and instructors - research scientists from the Department and experienced practitioners from the MGIMO ecosystem of schools. These courses cover a wide range of issues in education, including the design of educational environments, the content of modern education, organization of teaching and assessment, relationships of educational process participants, building professional communities and the personal effectiveness of a teacher. You can't teach children to learn without learning yourself, without being an example of self-development!

We offer a flexible approach to learning: students have the opportunity to study a topic entirely on their own, at their own pace (distance learning). For school teams, it is possible to offer courses in a classroom or consider a mixed format.

Resilience in education

The course will introduce the concept and phenomenon of 'resilience' as the ability to resist disadvantageous environments at the level of child, teacher or school (individual/organisational level). The course will look at the experiences of schools with limited resources and complex student populations that demonstrate high educational achievement. The school model as a centre for community development will be analysed.

The total duration: 32 academic hours.
The conditions for admission: higher or incomplete higher education.
Form of training: higher or incomplete higher education.
Document to be issued: students who have successfully completed the programme and passed the final attestation will be issued a certificate of advanced training of MGIMO in the established form.
